  1. Hi Monica,

Just taking time to reflect on what is the 62nd anniversary of the tragic events that overcame Ruth all those years ago. Just as a matter of interest, I came across, in chapter 11 of Carol Ann Lee’s book ‘A Fine Day For A Hanging, reference to transcripts of recordings made by Ruth on a tape recorder given to her during Christmas 1954 by Desmond Cussen. Do you know if the tapes still exist?

Thank you, and my very best regards for a very happy Easter.

    Bill Elkins.

    • Hi Bill
      Thanks for the message.

As there’s no index in Ms Lee’s book, what’s the number of the page in Chapter 11 you’re referring to?

      Happy Easter

      • Hi Monica,

        Many thanks for your reply.

The pages to reference re the tape recorded transcripts in ‘A Fine Day For A Hanging are Chapter 11, pages 140, 141, 142, 143 and 144.

        Regards,

        Bill.

        • Hello Bill

I’ve looked at the quotes. Perhaps the best move would be to contact Ms Lee and ask her.

          Good Luck.
