‘RUTH ELLIS, MY SISTER’S SECRET LIFE’ was reviewed by The Mail on 6th July 2005. On July 7th, the day our book was published, bombings in London shattered the heart of the capital. Our sensational findings and our story about the secret life of Ruth Ellis were, in effect, buried.

Monica, very interesting story.
What made me look up Ruth on the computer was I caught the movie on Cable the other night titled “Dance With A Stranger.”
Any idea who made the film and what, if anything, the timing inferred?
Good Luck,Patti

Thanks for the comment Patti. If you turn to page 1 in RUTH ELLIS MY SISTER’S SECRET LIFE, you’ll see that Muriel, Ruth’s sister, went to the premiere in January 1985. All other information about the film you should find on the internet somewhere.

PS – In case you haven’t got a copy of RUTH ELLIS MY SISTER’S SECRET LIFE here is a quote from page 1, in which Muriel describes the premiere of the film, Dance with a Stranger:
“This was not the real Ruth Ellis. This was not the whole story. The producers had picked my brain, obscured the truth, put nothing of what I told them in and shoved a ten-pound note in my pocket for my train fare back.”

does anyone know who is leading the campaign to secure a pardon for Ruth Ellis as of July 2009? I was wondering whether the campaign was being continued by anyone.
