Another new discovery is Ruth Ellis’s connection with the Kings Arms Hotel in Westerham with Desmond Cussen, the man who became known as her alternative lover in 1955.
According to the ‘accepted’ story, Cussen and Ruth Ellis only became friends in 1953. According to a reliable source they regularly visited the hotel as a couple around 1950.
However, Cussen, who was a great friend of the proprietor of the Kings Arms was, at that time, known as Mr Faulkner.
